How to measure your pet for its new pet bed

There is not really alot to measuring your pet for a new pet bed. It takes all of 5 minutes in our opinion.

We have found the easiest way is to measure your pet with a tape measure when they are in their natural sleeping position. Take the tape measure and place at your pets nose to the base of the tail. Please remember to add a few inches each side to allow room for comfort otherwise you will have a bed that is too small for your pet.

If you are simply renewing an old pet bed then just use the old bed as a guide.

Pet beds for rescue centres

In 2007 Cats & Canines donated a wicker corner pet bed to the DogPages online auction which raised money for local rescue centres.

This year we gave away two large boxes of pet cushions to Last Chance Animal Rescue and one box to Sighthounds Online who in turn donated to a rescue charity of their choice.

This years wicker corner pet bed is going to the Sighthounds Online auction and all proceeds raised will go towards helping the Greyhounds Galore rehoming organisation.

Reusing and Recycling

Cats & Canines are committed to limiting the amount of waste we use at our premises. We have been able to reuse all cardboard boxes that suppliers and manufacturers use to send us our goods. We pack your pet beds and wicker pet baskets in this.

The only thing we cannot reuse is bubble wrap, stretch wrap and packaging tape which we have to buy, however, we always make sure we purchase recycled materials where possible.

In the office all envelopes, brochures and correspondence that are no longer needed is either shredded and recycled or placed directly in our recycling bin.

When you receive your goods the bubble wrap, cardboard and stretch wrap can also be recycled at home by you if you choose to.
