Important information about delivery charges for Scotland and Northern Ireland: 

We have been absorbing the extra cost that our couriers charge us for certain Scottish postcodes, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. We can no longer do this, so heavier parcels will be charged a surcharge on top of the rates shown below.

The postcodes for Scotland only are: IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE. If you live in these postcode areas or Northern Ireland we will contact you with the surcharge cost which you are free to except or decline. This only applies to heavier orders that have to go via our courier Parcelforce or heavier items sent direct from the manufacturer.

While other companies claim to waive this weight surcharge, we can no longer do this for a prolonged period of time. It's not financially sensible for us. We want to be here for a while offering pet owners from all parts of the Country products they may not be able to get in their area.

Orders from 19kg - 30kg UK Inland £16.95 / Northern Ireland £32.95 / Scottish Highlands & Islands £26.95

Orders weighing over 30kg - We will contact you with a quote which you are free to except or decline.

Please note that deliveries will be made on normal working days, Monday to Friday, and will usually occur between 8.00am and 6.00pm. Saturday deliveries cannot be guaranteed and will incur a surcharge. Please contact us for details.

Whenever possible, goods will be despatched by first class post or 48 hour courier within 7-10 working days. With the exception of standard first class post, all deliveries require a signature. If there is nobody in to accept the delivery a card will be left to inform the recipient how he or she can collect the parcel or arrange re-delivery. It then becomes the recipients' responsibility to contact the courier and arrange a suitable delivery date. We accept no liability if the delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available. If the recipient fails to contact the courier in good time the goods will be returned to us and a charge will be made for re-delivery to that or an alternative address. We can ask the courier, at your instruction, to leave the goods in a secure place on your premises or with a neighbour, however, we cannot be held responsible if the goods are mislaid. We therefore recommend sending your order to a work address if possible.

In the event that you select a business address we shall be deemed to have delivered the item to its intended recipient by delivering it to the reception area of the business address and receiving from a duly authorised representative a signed receipt of delivery.

We will deliver to the address as you enter it and can not accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect. Additional charges will be made for redirection or for re-delivery due to postcode error. We advise that if you are not sure of the address you should check it using the Post Office postcode and address finding service.

We cannot be held responsible for third party couriers or the postal service delivering late. We have no control over this and any requests for a delivery cost refund will be at Cats & Canines discretion and as a good will gesture.

Courier Problems - Recipient not at home:

If there is no one at home when a delivery is attempted, we rely on the drivers common sense to leave a card informing the receipient of an attempted delivery. We find that the courier company used will usually take the parcel back to the depot awaiting your instructions for redelivery or collection. We are not informed by the courier company when a delivery attempt has failed, therefore, your first port of call would be to contact the courier company (details would be on the card that was left - remember we rely on the driver as an individual to ensure he/she leaves a card) and if after this, delivery fails again then contact us on 01634 710099 and we will speak to them on your behalf.


Overseas deliveries and Channel Islands & Scilly Isles: 

We will contact you with a quotation for delivery once we have received your order, which you are free to except or decline.

Goods can be despatched internationally, although local restrictions may apply. Import duty and tax may be payable upon receipt of goods to you. Unfortunately this is imposed by customs in the relevant country and is out of our control.

Privacy

We never make a profit out of your personal details by selling or renting your information. Please be assured that any details you do give us are strictly confidential and we do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam). We use cookies for our website. The cookies do not contain any personal information, they help us for our site statistics to see where you went on our website when you visited us. We conform to the requirements of the Data Protection Act, 1998. 

Security

We understand that you may be concerned about ordering over the internet and the security of your credit card, but please be assured, here at Cats & Canines a secure server is used which encrypts your card details. Look out for the yellow padlock at the bottom of your screen or to the right of your browser / web address bar. We use ekmpowershop's secure server to take your orders (our hosting company) and all credit/debit card numbers are processed using Barclays Merchant ePDQ.
